<p>Train number 20171 Rani Kamlapati-Hazrat Nizamuddin Vande Bharat Express will depart from the Bhopal railway station at 5:40 AM to reach Delhi’s Hazrat Nizamuddin Junction at 1:10 PM, taking 7 hours and 30 minutes.</p>
<p>Vande Bharat Express: In the return direction, Train number 20172 will depart from Delhi’s Hazrat Nizamuddin Junction at 2:40 PM and reach Bhopal’s Rani Kamlapati railway station at 10:10 PM taking 7 hours and 30 minutes.</p>
<p>The Bhopal-Delhi-Bhopal Vande Bharat Express will run on all days of the week except on Saturdays. It will cover a distance of 701 kilometres.</p>
<p>Enroute Rani Kamlapati-Hazrat Nizamuddin-Rani Kamlapati Vande Bharat Express will stop at Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi station, Gwalior and Agra Cantt stations in both directions.</p>
<p>The Delhi-Bhopal Vande Bharat Express will commence regular service from April 2, 2023 while the Bhopal-Delhi Vande Bharat Express will start regular service from April 3, 2023.</p>
<p>The Rani Kamlapati-Hazrat Nizamuddin Vande Bharat Express will be Indian Railways’ 11th Vande Bharat train. </p>
<p>Vande Bharat Express is an all air-conditioned chair car train service and a more premium version of the Shatabdi Express trains.</p>
<p>Vande Bharat Express trains have a design speed of 180 kmph and a permissible operational speed of 160 kmph, making them premium semi-high speed train services.</p>
<p>Indian Railways hopes to introduce a total of 75 Vande Bharat Express chair car trains in the coming months and is already working on the design for the sleeper version of this modern train.</p>
This will also be the first Vande Bharat Express that will run at 160 kmph on Indian Railways. A railway official told TOI that the Vande Bharat Express on the Delhi-Bhopal route has been cleared for a maximum permissible speed of 160 kmph. Gatimaan Express, another flagship train of Indian Railways, already runs at 160 kmph on the route.
Indian Railways has till date launched 10 Vande Bharat Express trains. Given the speed restrictions on most routes, Vande Bharat trains till now have only been permitted to run at 130 kmph. The semi-high speed train set has a design speed of 180 kmph and an operational speed of 160 kmph.
The Delhi-Bhopal Vande Bharat Express will run between Delhi’s Hazrat Nizamuddin station and Bhopal’s Rani Kamlapati railway station six days a week. The train will not run on Saturdays.
Bhopal-Delhi-Bhopal Vande Bharat Express route & timings
From Bhopal’s Rani Kamlapati railway station, train number 20171 will depart at 5:40 AM and reach Hazrat Nizamuddin at 1:10 PM. On the same day, train number 20172 will leave from Hazrat Nizamuddin station in Delhi at 2:40 PM to reach Bhopal at 10:10 PM.
The train will stop at Agra Cantt, Gwalior and Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi stations en route in both directions. It will take a total of 7 hours and 30 minutes to travel 701 kilometers.
Delhi-Bhopal Vande Bharat Express fare
- According to the IRCTC website, a journey from Delhi’s Hazrat Nizamuddin to Bhopal in the AC chair car of the Vande Bharat Express will cost Rs 1665/- inclusive of catering, which is optional. For the Executive chair car, the ticket price will be Rs 3120/- inclusive of catering charges.
- The fare for Bhopal-Delhi Vande Bharat Express AC Chair Car will be Rs 1735/- inclusive of catering and for the Executive Chair Car the price will be Rs 3185/-
